Six months of clean counters undone in one weekend visit
My roommate and I had a solid system for almost half a year, we split chores every Sunday and the kitchen stayed spotless. Then his cousin from Denver crashed on our couch for three days and left a trail of ramen packets, dirty spoons, and sticky counter rings everywhere. I came home Monday to find the sink full of bowls and a half-eaten jar of peanut butter with a knife still in it. He apologized but shrugged it off as 'just a guest thing', which got me thinking about boundaries. Has anyone else had a visitor completely wreck the harmony you built with a roommate, and how do you handle it without sounding like a drill sergeant?
