Paid $30 to see 'Battlefield Earth' in theaters back in 2000 and honestly I still defend that ridiculous movie
That $30 included a ticket and a giant popcorn and I have zero regrets because the over-the-top Psychlo accents and John Travolta's crazy prosthetics made it the most fun bad movie night I ever had, anyone else secretly love a movie that critics trashed?

I saw it on DVD for free and still felt robbed, you got off light.

@bens81 you're not wrong about that movie being a waste of time. What worked for me was just accepting that sometimes you sit through a bad one and move on. I left the theater for a different one halfway through about ten years ago, didn't even ask for a refund. Your mileage may vary but I find it's easier to just forget the bad ones than dwell on them. Plus you saved a few bucks on the DVD rental, so that's something.
