I used to trash 'The Room' with my friends every weekend...

We'd watch it ironically in my apartment in Chicago, but after the 10th viewing I started noticing how genuinely earnest Tommy Wiseau's performance is. Now I defend its weird charm because it feels like a real person's unfiltered dream put on screen, not some focus-grouped product. Has a movie ever flipped from a joke to something you actually admire for you?

Watch it enough and the joke becomes the real deal.

Honestly adams.cameron, I feel like the real deal is usually there from the start, even if it's messy.

It was earnest, but the charm is in its total lack of filter.
