I finally watched 'The Room' with a group and they missed the point
Everyone just laughed at the bad acting and weird lines, but I think the movie is a real look at how one person sees the world. Tommy Wiseau made something totally honest, even if it's messy. Has anyone else found a movie that's bad on purpose but good in a different way?

Totally get what you mean about it being an honest look at one person's world. That's the best way to put it. For me that movie is "Birdemic." The effects are a joke and the acting is so stiff, but the guy who made it was dead serious about his environmental message. It's so bad it wraps back around to being kind of pure.

Yeah, "so bad it wraps back around to being kind of pure" is the perfect way to say it. That's exactly why I can't hate movies like that. The total lack of polish makes it feel real, like you're seeing someone's weird dream. It's way more interesting than some slick, boring movie.
