I paid $189 for a cheap standing desk, and it saved my back but the motor died in 4 months
Bought a $189 standing desk off Amazon back in March because my lower back was killing me after 8 hour shifts at the call center. It felt great at first, but last week the motor started grinding and now it's stuck at full height, so I've been standing all day like an idiot. Company won't pay for a real one and I can't return it past 30 days, so I'm stuck. Has anyone else had a desk motor give out this fast, or did I just pick the wrong one?
Wow, four months? That is straight up robbery. I had a cheap one too and the motor lasted maybe six months before it started doing this weird stutter thing, but yours dying that fast is wild. And the fact that it got stuck all the way up is the worst part, now you can't even use it as a normal desk. For almost two hundred bucks you'd think it would at least make it a year. These companies know the motor is the first thing to go and they still slap a 30 day return window on it.
