That time I swore blind I'd never use dating apps ended up becoming my longest relationship
Back in 2014 I was super against online dating, thought it was fake and desperate. My buddy convinced me to try Tinder for a month as a joke and I matched with someone who worked at the same coffee shop I went to every morning. We talked for three weeks before meeting up and it was the most natural first date I ever had. That relationship lasted 18 months before we grew apart, but I had to eat my words completely. Now I'm curious what made other people change their minds about something they were dead set against.

Honestly, that "swore blind I'd never" part hit close to home, I've been there too.

Tbh it's wild how we all make these promises to ourselves and then life just laughs at our plans. I remember telling everyone I'd never be that person checking their phone during dinner, and now I'm literally that person. It's like these vows we make are just invitations for the universe to test us or something.
