My aunt's 3 hour slideshow finally made me admit I was wrong about family photos

I always rolled my eyes at my aunt's yearly slideshow at Thanksgiving, but last month I found a box of old photos in her basement. She had pictures of my grandpa at his first job in 1948, a faded receipt from the hardware store he opened in 1955, and a shot of my dad as a kid holding a fish. Seeing those real physical prints with dates and notes on the back hit different than scrolling on a phone. Has anyone else found something in a relative's stash that made you see them totally different?

Is that before or after she scanned them into 14 different cloud drives?

Nah, I'd rather have backups than lose them to a single crash.
