I thought $180 for a folding card table was a scam until Thanksgiving at my sister's place in Gary
I always said I would never spend real money on a card table and just use the old wobbly one my mom had since the 90s. After 14 people squeezed into my sister's living room in Gary last November, her $180 folding table held three casseroles and nobody's plate slid off, while I spent the night holding my niece's cup so it would not tip. I ate my words hard and bought the same one two days later. Does anyone else have a holiday item they swore was a waste of cash and then caved on?

A $180 table is still just cardboard and folding legs, your sister got lucky.
