Hot take: That fancy cheese board I made for Thanksgiving was a total waste of $80
I spent $80 on three fancy cheeses, dried figs, and honeycomb from a specialty shop, thinking everyone would love it. But my cousin Mike just picked off the cheap cheddar block I put out as an afterthought, and my aunt complained the brie was too stinky. I ended up eating most of it myself over the next week, feeling like a fool. Has anyone else fallen for the whole elevated appetizer trap at a family party?
