TIL ignoring a firmware update warning cost me a whole day of repairs.
I was rushing through pre-checks and skipped a firmware update on the GPS unit. Ngl, it failed mid-flight and we had to abort the mission. What's your protocol for managing updates in a busy hangar?

Oof, skipping that firmware update really is the worst kind of "I told you so" from the universe. Those warnings feel like such a pain when you're trying to get things done fast. I totally get that rush, but man, losing a whole day because of it is just brutal. That's the kind of hard lesson that sticks with you for sure.
