Laser alignment for nav systems: game-changer or unnecessary risk?
I picked up using a laser tool for aligning navigation systems, and it sliced my calibration time down big time. But some techs worry it might not hold up under engine vibrations compared to old school methods. I'm caught between loving the speed and doubting the toughness. Where do you all fall on this?

Funny you mention tools making you nervous, I had a torque wrench that clicked perfect every time but I still double checked with the old beam type. New stuff is great until it quietly fails and leaves you tracing a ghost in the system. Sometimes the old ways stick around for a reason.

Yeah that's everywhere... like how I'll still do the math in my head even after the cashier scans everything. My trust in digital things is thin after a card reader glitched once and double charged me. Now I watch that little screen like a hawk even though it's probably fine.

Oh man, I feel that. I still use the little bubble level on my phone but then I'll squint at it and go get the actual metal one from the garage. Like my own eyes and a piece of plastic with an air bubble are somehow more trustworthy than a computer. It's a whole process.
