Paid $650 to ship a Civic from Denver to Seattle, then the driver called from 200 miles out asking for another $150 | Auto Transport Help - Talk Freely
That "another $150" call is the oldest trick in the book. Driver quotes you low to win the job, then hits you up once your car is already on his truck and you got no choice. Happened to my brother with a truck from Phoenix, same story. Tell him no and tell him you already paid the agreed price in full. Get it in writing next time through a broker with a bill of lading, not some guy off a load board. If he holds your car hostage, call the broker and the DOT, because that is straight up illegal.
