Warning: a customer's complaint about my bay made me change my whole cleanup routine
They said my floor looked like a 'used parts graveyard' after a brake job. Now I sweep and wipe down the lift after every single vehicle, no exceptions. Anyone else get called out on shop cleanliness?

Wait, are you telling me customers actually look at the floor? I thought they just stared at the engine bay and took my word for it. @paige427 is totally right though, it's always the dumb dusty shelf you stopped seeing that gets you. I had a lady once point out a greasy rag i'd been stepping over for three days, and now I swear i'm more scared of her coming back than I am of the brake fluid. Honestly, sometimes the shop gets so clean it looks like it's for sale, not for work.
