Switched from impact guns to a torque wrench for lug nuts on German cars
Been doing tires for 5 years and always just zipped everything down with my IR impact. Had a BMW 5 series come in last month with a wobble complaint. Rotors were warped from overtightening. Shop foreman made me redo all my work with a torque wrench set to spec. Hasn't been a problem since. Anyone else make the switch and notice less comebacks?

My buddy at the shop next door had the same issue with a Mercedes GLK. He was using his impact and snapping wheel studs left and right. I switched to a CDI torque wrench about two years ago after I warped a set of rotors on an Audi A4. The time difference is maybe 30 seconds per wheel but the peace of mind is worth it. I do all the German stuff by hand now and haven't had a single come back. The click is just a nice confirmation everything is where it should be.

Exactly what @taylor_hayes25 said... the click makes all the difference for me too.

Depends on the car though, some specs are so low even a good click feels tight but it's fine.
