Switched from a pickle fork to a two-jaw puller on a rusty tie rod end, night and day difference
The fork just tore the boot and still wouldn't pop it, but the puller had it off in about 30 seconds with zero damage. Been doing front ends for 9 years and I felt dumb for not switching sooner. What's your go-to for stubborn ball joints, torch or puller?
Wait, so you're telling me I've been fighting with a pickle fork like an idiot for years when a puller just zips them right off? I've torched so many ball joints I'm pretty sure my neighbors think I'm running a campfire in my garage at 2am. Gonna grab a puller this week and pretend I knew that all along.
