Broke a MAF sensor on a 2019 Silverado Tuesday

I snapped the plastic housing while pulling the intake tube and that little part cost me $320 from the dealer, has anyone else had GM switch to that brittle gray plastic on the newer trucks?

130 degrees underhood heat turns that plastic brittle in two years flat.

Yeah that "two years flat" thing hits hard, I've seen it happen way too many times myself. It's rough when you're just trying to keep your engine bay clean and instead the heat is actively destroying everything. Solidarity on that one, man.
