Spent 45 minutes blending a door panel repair last Tuesday before I realized my hardener had expired back in March

Found the old tube of hardener in the back of my cabinet and it was all clumpy and dry, so now I check the date on everything before I even start mixing - has anyone else had a batch of filler go bad on them?

Man I used to be exactly like @terryh20 on this, I'd just mix it up and hope for the best. But then I had a batch of filler that never fully kicked, like it stayed soft for two days and I had to scrape the whole thing off. That changed my mind real quick. Now I'm the guy checking dates on everything before I even open the tube, it's saved me so much headache. Expired hardener is just not worth the gamble, especially when you spend time blending and shaping.

Why wouldn't you just mix it up and see what happens?
