Just realized hand sanding isn't just for purists anymore
Used to skip it for speed on modern panels... but a tricky repair on a friend's truck changed my whole view.

Skipping steps works fine sometimes.

Ugh, been there watching people rush. Skipping the primer coat or not cleaning a surface right always comes back to bite you. That one missed step turns into leaks, bad fits, or the whole thing just failing early. Now I go slow and check the list twice, even when I'm impatient. The steps are there for a reason, basically.
