The difference 6 years made in my Orion Nebula shots...

I compared my first Orion Nebula picture from 2018 to one I took last week and the improvement is honestly wild. Back then I was using a cheap kit lens on a tripod, now I have a dedicated astro camera on a tracking mount that lets me stack way more data. What upgrade made the biggest jump in your own photos, the camera or the tracking gear?

Wait, you went from a kit lens on a tripod to what you've got now? That is a massive jump, I can barely believe the difference that kind of gear would make. The tracking mount alone sounds like it basically cuts out half the headaches with blur and lets you pile on exposure time like crazy.

Used to be a gear skeptic honestly. Thought it was all about skill and processing. Then I borrowed a buddy's star tracker for a weekend and yeah, I was completely wrong.
