That night I caught Orion rising behind my neighbor's barn on a phone camera
Last Tuesday around 9 PM I was walking my dog and noticed Orion was just peeking over the treeline. I pulled out my old Galaxy phone and snapped a picture leaning against a fence post. The photo actually showed the three belt stars clear as day against the dark sky. It wasn't anything professional but it got me thinking about how easy it is to grab decent astronomy shots now. Has anyone else gotten a surprise good photo with just a phone camera?

Phone sensors lose all the fainter stars though, the real magic is gone.
