Trick I found for stopping paint bleed under frog tape
I was painting my kitchen trim last week and kept getting that annoying bleed under the tape no matter how careful I was. My neighbor who does houses for a living told me to run a thin bead of caulk along the tape edge and smooth it out before painting. Tried it on a test spot and it worked perfectly, no bleed at all. Anyone else got a weird tape trick that actually works?

Yeah man @terry_wood51 is right, that caulk trick is a game changer. I used to do the whole "paint a thin layer of your base color first to seal the tape" thing but this is way faster. The key is to use a really thin bead and wipe it smooth with a damp finger before it dries. If you let it sit too long it can be a pain to clean off the tape when you peel it. One thing I found is that it works even better on textured walls where tape never seals right.

Oh man, I feel your pain. I was the same way for way too long before I finally tried it, and now I can't believe I went without knowing that trick.
