Found out my local library lets you check out a blood pressure cuff for free
Stopped by the branch on Grand Ave in St. Paul last Tuesday to print a return label and saw a whole shelf of stuff you can borrow, blood pressure cuffs, a kill-a-watt meter, even a ukulele. Asked the desk lady why nobody talks about this and she shrugged and said most people assume it's just books. What random stuff does your library lend out that I'm missing?
Did you check if they have a full list online or on the shelf? Mine hides the good stuff behind the desk so you have to ask. I found out mine lends out a thermal camera, a radon kit, and even a sewing machine if you can believe that. A lot of libraries keep quiet about it because they don't want the items walking off, so always ask the front desk what's not on display. Also worth knowing they usually can't be reserved for pickup, so call ahead before you make the trip.
