Tried a new networking app for Phoenix events and got ghosted by three contacts

I signed up for that 'Arizona Connect' app everyone was talking about at a Scottsdale mixer. After messaging three people who said they wanted to meet, none of them replied back. What's a better way to turn app connections into real coffee meetings around here?

Honestly, is getting ghosted on a networking app even that big of a deal? People flake all the time, especially when it's just some random app message. Maybe they got busy, or the app just makes it too easy to say yes and then forget. I'd skip trying to turn those chats into meetings and just go to actual events. Talk to people face to face, get a card, and follow up yourself. An app can't really build a real connection for you.

Yeah but it still stings a little, right?

But what if you actually hit it off with someone on the app first? Like you had a solid chat about a specific project or job opening. Doesn't that make the ghosting feel more personal, like they changed their mind about you? It's different from a random "hey.
