Went to Poverty Point in Louisiana and those 3400 year old dirt ridges hit different up close
Stood on the biggest mound last month and honestly the scale is nuts, people moved dirt basket by basket over like 6 ridges in a giant C shape with no wheels or draft animals. Everyone online wants to obsess over the copper and beads traded from a thousand miles away. I think the dirt is the real story and the artifact crowd is sleeping on it. Why do we rank pretty objects above the engineering that made the site exist?
