Spent 2 seasons ignoring pottery sherds on my local creek bank because I wanted to find points instead
Last March a retired professor from Boise State saw my collection and pointed out that the 14 plain brown rim pieces I'd been tossing aside were probably Fremont ware, meaning I'd been walking past the real story of that site for two years while chasing arrowheads, so does anyone else have a tip for telling plain utility pottery from just plain rocks?
