Bought a $300 arborist saddle last year and it's already falling apart at the seams

Went with a cheap brand off Amazon instead of sticking with my usual Buckingham and now the D-rings are pulling through the stitching, has anyone else had luck getting a warranty replacement on these budget saddles or am I just stuck buying another one?

Man, that is such a bummer. I mean, I learned this lesson the hard way with a cheap climbing harness a few years ago. I bought one of those no-name brands off some random website, and the leg loops started fraying after like two months. I tried getting a warranty replacement and they pretty much told me to kick rocks because it was "user error." So yeah, I'm not super hopeful you'll get much help from the Amazon ones. Honestly, at this point, I'd just eat the cost and go back to a proper brand. It stinks, but it's cheaper than a fall, right? Idk, maybe it's just me but I've stopped messing around with gear I trust my life to.

Taylor's right. I had the same thing happen with a $250 "pro grade" saddle off Amazon. The D rings pulled through after about 50 climbs. Tried the warranty route and they wanted me to pay shipping both ways plus a restocking fee. Ended up just tossing it in the trash and buying a used Buckingham off a guy on ArboristSite for the same money. Cheap gear costs you twice.
