That $60 dishwasher drain hose kit was a total waste...
Bought one of those fancy braided stainless drain hose kits for a Samsung install last week. Figured it would be tough and last forever. Nope. Kinked on the first bend behind the unit, water wouldn't flow, and the pump just hummed. Had to cut it out and use a plain rubber hose I had in the truck. Cost me an extra hour on the job and the customer watched me mess with it. Anyone else fall for those 'upgrade' parts that just cause headaches?

Lol I heard those braided hoses kink way easier than regular rubber ones.

That twenty bucks I spent on a braided hose for my own place a few years back still makes me cringe. It kinked so bad the first time I slid the washer in that I had to pull the whole machine back out and swap it for a plain rubber one. Makes you wonder why they even sell those things when they cause nothing but trouble.

My neighbor tried one of those braided hoses on his washer last year. Ended up using it as a weird Christmas decoration after it got stuck behind the machine and ripped.
