Lost 3 hours on a Samsung dryer that wasn't even broken

I had a Samsung dryer model DV45H7000 that kept throwing a tS error code. Took me way too long to realize it was just the lint screen sensor being dirty after a customer used fabric softener sheets like crazy. After checking the thermistor, heating element, and rolling sensors for 2 hours I finally cleaned the sensor contacts with a dollar bill and it fired right up. Has anyone else wasted a ton of time on a simple fix like this?

Haha dude I literally did the exact same thing on my LG washer. Spent a whole afternoon swapping out a drain pump and hoses only to find out the filter was just clogged with a sock. Felt like such an idiot but at least it wasn't a $200 part.

Man I can't even count how many times I've done something like that? Took apart my old Whirlpool dryer once, spent two hours cleaning the whole vent system and checking every belt and roller only to realize I'd just forgotten to press the start button after emptying the lint trap. Not my finest moment for sure. At least with the sock thing you probably got a good laugh out of it after the frustration wore off. Those LG filters are sneaky little things, always hiding right where you least expect them.
