Heard a repair shop owner say 'patience is what separates the amateurs' and it stuck with me

I was waiting for parts at Ferguson Supply in Denver last Tuesday and overheard this old timer telling a new guy that rushing through a diagnosis just creates callbacks. Has anyone else noticed that slowing down actually saves time in the long run?

That same lesson applies to SO many things outside of repair work too.
