Thought the new Dragon Ball was just a cash grab but I was wrong

I was super skeptical when they announced Dragon Ball Super back in 2015... felt like they were just milking it after all those years. Then I watched the Tournament of Power arc and the Jiren fight at episode 130 really pulled me in. The animation and stakes were legit different from anything in Z or GT. Anybody else change their mind on a sequel series you wrote off at first?

Dragon Ball Super surprised me too after I expected nothing from it.

Wait, hold up. You're saying Dragon Ball Super actually surprised you? I remember going into it with the lowest bar possible after that awful Dragon Ball GT letdown. But then that first arc with Beerus and the whole God of Destruction thing totally threw me for a loop. Honestly, the animation during the Tournament of Power alone was worth the price of admission. Ngl, that Jiren fight got me actually caring about a Dragon Ball series again for the first time in years. Tbh the way they brought back Future Trunks with that creepy Goku Black story was just wild.
