Tried a wireless keypad on a retrofit, never going back to running 4-core
Did a residential job last Tuesday where the customer's hallway had zero attic access, so pulling wire for a wall keypad was gonna be a two-hour nightmare. Grabbed a Honeywell wireless keypad with a 5800 transmitter instead, had it linked to the panel in 15 minutes. I was always suspicious of wireless reliability, but this thing has had zero supervision faults so far. Anyone else using wireless keypads on tough retrofits, or do you still run the wire no matter what?

We did a condo retrofit last winter, same deal with zero attic access and plaster walls. Ran the 5800 keypad on a VISTA panel and it's been solid for over a year now, not a single supervision fault. The trick I found is to mount the transmitter high on the wall, away from metal studs or any big appliances. If they have a solid core door nearby, I still run the wire, but for interior walls it's become my first choice. Only thing I'd watch is battery life, I swap them out every 10 months just to be safe.
