But is it really that big of a deal? Small stuff gets blown out of proportion all the time, @quinn_hayes. Might not be worth the worry.

Man, I feel this so hard. My first few installs were a total mess, wires everywhere like spaghetti. Now I label both ends of every network cable and slap numbers on my breaker panel. Last week I found a bad port in two minutes because the cable said "bedroom 3 east wall." Quinn_hayes is totally right about saving future pain. It feels like extra work upfront but pays you back double every single time.
