I finally stopped letting builders pick panel spots, one in Reno put it behind a water heater
Three years back a builder in Reno had me mount a panel in a closet closet behind the water heater because it looked cleaner for the model home tour. I said no and he called my boss, but I held firm and now that panel is the only one in the subdivision that doesn't get tagged on inspection. Anybody else got a builder story where saying no saved you a callback?
How's a panel behind a water heater supposed to pass anything? Guy basically wanted you to hide the evidence for the tour, which is a wild way to build a house. Good on you for telling him no and letting the inspection prove your point.
