Why does nobody talk about the tool control difference before and after foam cutouts?
I spent 5 years digging through a messy toolbox until I spent $80 on Kaizen foam 6 months ago and now I can find a 1/4 inch socket blindfolded, has anyone else noticed how much faster jobs go when you can see exactly what's missing before you leave the hangar?

Man, I spent 20 minutes looking for a 10mm socket yesterday and it was in my back pocket the whole time.

My first Kaizen foam cutout took me THREE tries because I kept measuring wrong and had to buy new foam. Now I can spot a missing tool in like two seconds flat, but my first attempt looked like a kindergartner did it with safety scissors. It's Amazing how much faster you work when you aren't doing the "tool limbo" under your workbench every five minutes.

Is it really faster though, or does the time you save on hunting tools just get spent cutting and recutting foam? @terryh20, I feel like your 10mm socket story proves my point - sometimes the chaos is just part of the workflow. I've watched guys spend an hour perfecting a foam tray for a screwdriver they use twice a year, while their adjustable wrench sits loose in a drawer.
