Watch out for those cheap silicone air fryer liners

I bought a pack of two for about $8 online last month, thinking they'd make cleanup easier. The first time I used one, it started to melt and smoke at 400 degrees while cooking frozen fries. It left a sticky, burnt plastic mess all over my basket that took an hour to scrub off. Has anyone found a liner that can actually handle high heat without this happening?

Yeah same thing happened to me, totally agree with @terry_lewis21 about just using parchment paper instead lol.

That sounds like a nightmare to clean up. Those cheap liners are a total scam if they can't even handle normal air fryer temps. I just use parchment paper sheets made for air fryers now, they work fine and don't melt. Learned that lesson the hard way too, it's not worth the risk.

Parchment paper can actually burn around 450 degrees, which some air fryers hit. The silicone liners are safer if you get ones rated for high heat. Just check the temperature rating before you buy anything.
