Update: my buddy's housewarming in Boise got me to finally trust my air fryer with frozen chicken thighs
He pulled 6 thighs straight from frozen at 400 for 22 minutes and they came out better than my oven version, so I've made them 4 nights this week and now I'm wondering what other frozen stuff I've been thawing for no reason.
The "straight from frozen at 400 for 22 minutes" part is what got me since I always figured frozen thighs would cook weird, dry outside and raw in the middle. I was wrong. Tried it last week with a little oil and salt and they came out juicy with crispy skin, no thawing, no planning ahead. Now I'm doing frozen drumsticks and even frozen salmon the same way. My whole "you gotta thaw it first" rule is pretty much dead.
