Warning: That free AI chatbot advice cost me a client last week
I asked a popular AI chatbot for help writing a marketing email for a landscaping client in Austin. It gave me a template full of generic phrases like "we take pride in our work" and "your satisfaction matters." I sent it without rewriting enough, and the client complained it sounded nothing like their brand voice. Has anyone else had AI tools mess up real client work?

Three years of freelance writing taught me the same lesson the hard way. AI tools just spit out the most common phrase for any topic, not the right one for that specific client. Always rewrite enough to match their actual voice or just start from scratch yourself.

Same deal with recipes online, everyone uses the same bland words and calls it their own.
