Warning: That AI poetry generator took me 6 hours to get one usable line
I spent way too long trying to get this AI poetry tool to write something that didn't sound like a robot having a stroke. It kept spitting out these weirdly formal lines about "the digital dawn" and "binary whispers" that sounded like a Hallmark card from 1998. After about 50 attempts and tweaking the prompt 12 different ways, I finally got one line that actually felt human. The rest of the poem still needed major editing by hand, so it was basically just a fancy thesaurus for me. Has anyone else found these creative AI tools way more frustrating than the demos make them look?

77% of my last project was done with an AI poetry tool and I only had to fix about 15 minutes of phrasing. Maybe you just had a bad prompt or the wrong tool for the job.

My cousin spent 3 days trying to get an AI art generator to make a picture of a cat wearing a hat and it kept giving him cats with hats melting into their faces like candles. He finally gave up and just drew it himself in about 20 minutes. These tools feel like they're designed to make you THINK you're the problem when really they're just not that good yet.

Did you try using the really simple prompts instead of the detailed ones? I had the same problem with a picture of a penguin in a scarf @william_jackson65, and what finally worked was just typing "penguin wearing scarf" with no extra words. I got a decent picture on the third try instead of the tenth. Sometimes the simpler you keep it, the less the AI messes things up. Your cousin probably would've saved a lot of time if he started with "cat wearing hat" and nothing else.
