Rant: My neighbor in Phoenix asked if AI could fix his broken sprinkler timer.
He was holding the old unit, looked me dead in the eye, and said 'This thing's logic is shot, can't your computer magic just learn the right schedule?' which made me realize how abstract the tech still is for most folks.

Oh man, that's kind of funny (and I get what @murphy.barbara means). I actually see it the other way, like people hear "AI" and think it's just smart magic for any broken thing now.
