Paid $60 for an AI meeting note taker and it wrote up the wrong project

I run a small crew and we do a lot of planning over phone calls. Last week I bought a subscription to one of those AI note apps that listens in and summarizes everything. Cost me $60 for the month. It caught the conversation fine but then it mixed up two job sites we were discussing, labeled one address as the other. My foreman almost drove 40 miles to the wrong house. I went back to typing my own notes with a notepad app. Has anyone else had an AI summary twist a critical detail like that?

Man, that is exactly why I stopped trusting those things with anything that has numbers or addresses in it. I had a similar deal where the AI kept confusing two client names that sounded alike, and it turned a simple follow up email into a mess. What worked for me was using the AI for the general outline only, then going back and checking every single fact myself before anyone else saw it. It took maybe ten extra minutes a day, but it beat having to explain to an angry customer why I showed up at the wrong place. I finally just went back to typing my own notes too, because the time I saved was nothing compared to the time I spent fixing its mistakes.
