Overheard a coworker say 'adulting means doing dishes before bed' and it hit me weird

I was standing by the break room coffee machine when she said it so casually, and it made me realize I've never had a solid bedtime routine... even something small like dishes feels like a mountain after 9pm. Has anyone else had one tiny habit that somehow became the line between feeling in control and not?

I feel you on the mountain part." That's the thing about those tiny habits. Once you skip one it's like the whole dam breaks and you're crashing on the couch at midnight wondering where the night went.

Man, I gotta say I actually don't get that. Doing dishes before bed feels more like a punishment than a win to me. If you're in control, shouldn't you just do them when you feel like it?

Once you skip one" hits hard. Yeah that's exactly how it goes.
