My car's check engine light came on the same day my rent was due.

I was already stressed about the $950 payment, then the mechanic said it was a $400 sensor. What do you do when two big bills hit at once?

My buddy had his fridge die the week his kid needed braces. He just put the food in coolers with ice and called around for payment plans. Ended up using a credit card for the fridge and the dentist let him split the cost over six months. It was a rough month but he got through it.

Yeah, the "rough month" part hits home. My car's transmission went the same week our roof started leaking. Just had to deal with one thing at a time and max out a credit card. It's crazy how it all piles up at once.

Ugh, that's the worst timing! I had my water heater go out right before property taxes were due. I called the utility company for a one-time extension on the bill and used a zero-interest credit card offer for the repair.
