Got sold a fake air filter on Amazon and wasted 80 bucks
Last month I ordered a high-end air filter for my HVAC system from a seller with good reviews on Amazon. It arrived in a box that looked kinda off but I just installed it anyway. Three weeks later my electric bill shot up by 40 dollars and my AC was running nonstop. I pulled the filter out and it was basically just cardboard wrapped in cheap fiberglass. When I tried to return it the seller account was already gone. Has anyone else gotten scammed by fake HVAC parts online?

Oh trust me, I learned that the hard way after getting a fake charger from a third party seller.
