Rant: The old food court fountain in the Sunrise Mall was still full of pennies
We were in there last Tuesday and the water was black, but you could see hundreds of coins at the bottom. Did anyone else find weird stuff people left behind in these places?

Just kids throwing their change in" is probably right, but it makes you wonder about the timeline. That black water means it's been sitting for years, so some of those pennies could be from the 90s. It's a weird little time capsule of bad mall fashion and what people had in their pockets.

Eh, it's just some old coins in gross water. Not exactly a big mystery, right? Probably just kids throwing their change in for fun years ago.

Yeah, I get what you're saying, but I don't know... there's something kind of SAD about it too. Those coins probably meant SOMETHING to whoever tossed them in, even if it was just a quick wish or a dumb joke. Now they're just sitting in black sludge in an abandoned mall nobody visits anymore. It's like finding a forgotten time capsule, except nobody's coming back to dig it up. Makes you feel for all the random little moments people had there that are just gone now.
