Pro tip: the graffiti in Chapel Hills Mall tells a better story than the shops ever did
I was reading a post last week where someone said the paint tags are just vandalism ruining the explore experience, but I spent 3 hours photographing that big mural on the second floor near the old escalator. The layers of paint go back to 2016 with different crews adding every year, and it shows how people actually used the space after the stores closed. Does anyone else think the art is the main draw, not the empty stores?

Wait until the mall brings in an art critic to appraise that graffiti, bet they'd charge more for admission than the stores ever made selling overpriced hoodies. Spent an hour there last week watching a guy explain the hidden meaning behind a tag that looked exactly like a squiggly line my dog drew on the driveway. Glad we're finally admitting the mall's biggest success story is a bunch of spray paint on drywall.

hugo825 nailed it with that "squiggly line my dog drew" bit. I watched a guy at a gallery last month spend ten minutes analyzing a scribble that looked exactly like the receipt at the bottom of my bag. Could've saved us all the time if he just admitted it's basically fancy vandalism.

Oh man, your dog is probably more talented than I'll ever be. I once paid $40 for a print that looked exactly like a coffee stain I tried to scrub out of my carpet.
