My main flashlight died in the middle of the old Sunrise Mall food court last weekend

Honestly, I was halfway through the old Orange Julius when my cheap 3-pack LED from the hardware store just cut out, leaving me in the dark with a bunch of broken tiles and a really bad smell, so what's a good, reliable light you all bring that can take a few knocks?

I mean, I've had the opposite luck with those cheap multi-packs. My hardware store light has been fine for years, even after dropping it a bunch. Maybe you just got a bad one? I'd try swapping it under warranty before buying something new.

Watched my buddy grab one of those multi-pack lights for his garage. The thing flickered like a strobe light the first time he turned it on. By week two the plastic casing had a crack from normal use, no drops or anything. He swapped it under warranty and the replacement died in a month. Some batches are just cursed.

That "cursed batch" idea is so real. It reminds me of a toaster my parents had. Worked fine for a decade, then the replacement from the same brand caught fire during its first use. They sent another one for free and it just... never got hot. Three tries with the same model and they gave up. Sometimes the factory just pumps out a whole line of junk.
