Kept stepping on loose floor tiles for months, finally realized they were hiding a trap door

I was exploring the old Willow Creek Mall in Ohio and kept nearly tripping on these loose tiles near the food court. After the third time, I kicked one aside and saw a metal handle underneath that led to a basement I never knew existed. Anyone else find secret spots that were hiding in plain sight?

Kicked open a trap door in my grandma's attic once thinking it was just a weird floorboard. Turned out to be a SPIDER NEST the size of a dinner plate. I screamed like a little kid and nearly fell through the ceiling trying to get away. Pretty sure the spiders are still running that part of the house now.

Taylor, I feel your pain on that one I found a similar setup under some loose vinyl in a flip house I was working on. Best move is to seal the edges with caulk and set a few glue traps around it to catch any escapees before they scatter.
