inWhy I always buy day-old bread and never regret it
Well, day-old bagels are basically armored against bad cooking. Fresh ones turn into soggy messes with too much egg, but stale bagels can handle a flood. David's right, if you burn everything, at least the bagels won't disintegrate. It's like the food version of a safety net. So why bother with fresh when stale does the job for us kitchen amateurs?

inShoutout to the podcast that solved my car repair fear.
Sometimes that confidence can backfire hard. People hear a podcast and then try something way over their skill level, strip a bolt or cross-thread something, and create a much bigger repair bill. There’s a real safety risk with brakes or electrical work if you don’t truly know what you’re doing. For a lot of folks, paying a pro is the smarter move to avoid turning a small issue into a totaled car.
