Peach pie disaster with a wet bottom crust... what went wrong?

My last pie crust could've doubled as a sponge, honestly.

My gut feels way better since I made sauerkraut a regular thing.

What kind are you using, the homemade stuff or from a jar?

Local update: VR demo days at the library are getting my neighbors hooked.

Have you seen those free NASA VR things you can just pull up online? I got totally geeked out after checking one out last year, like just flying over Mars in my living room. What worked for me was going deeper into the free stuff, @the_daniel, like those planetary flythroughs that show how crazy big the canyons are. It kinda makes the dream feel bigger, not smaller, because you see more details you'd miss otherwise. Maybe she should try some of those longer video tours next.

Warning: My favorite trail has less litter than it did years ago.

Noticed a lot of spots around town getting quietly fixed up like that path @sandra486, small wins adding up lol.

Commission deadlines that ignore clay's natural pace are a recipe for disaster

It's wild how this mirrors our throwaway culture at large! Like @patriciae95 said, clay has its own schedule, but society pushes us to ignore natural rhythms for convenience. Look at fast furniture or cheap kitchenware, items made quickly without regard for material integrity, ending up in landfills after minimal use. Handmade pottery insists on a slower, more respectful cycle, directly opposing that waste. When clients demand rush orders, they're often unconsciously buying into that same disposable mindset. By setting boundaries, we're not just protecting our art, we're advocating for a more thoughtful way of consuming everything.
