Pro tip: my $11 shower curtain rod now holds my bike, no drill needed
So I was crashing at my buddy's place in Austin last month, right? Tiny apartment, no balcony, and I had this folding bike that kept tipping over in the hallway. He was like 'just hang it on the rod' as a joke, but I actually tried it. The tension rod in his bathroom held like 35 pounds of bike for 2 nights without slipping. Got home, bought the cheapest metal rod from Target, and now my bike lives above my bathtub. It's kinda ugly but my hallway is finally walkable. Has anyone else repurposed a tension rod for something dumb like this? Or am I just the weird one? Also, bonus tip, wrap the ends with those rubber jar grippers if it slips.
